No sooner do I wrap up on last night’s meltdown then I have to get out the laptop to purge like an Olsen twin after watching today’s game. I feel like I’m in Groundhog’s Day, watching the same performance over and over again.
The slight twist today was that Jepsen beat Scot to the choke, blowing the lead in an effort to take the pressure off Scot. It didn’t work. The A’s scored 3 runs off Scot, leading to yet another loss. Interestingly enough, he lowered his ERA with no earned runs charged to him due to a generous error charged to Brandon Wood on a tough play.
I’m actually starting to think Scot missed his true calling and should have gone into politics.

What a horrible performance again from Shields, CHOKE, CHOKE, he is just all over the place. Gets way behind then when he starts to fight back and throws the fourth ball, he argues it. Look 3 feet over the guys head a wild pitch and a hit batter is not the way to start off an inning.

I love the Angels, but right now they need to think seriously about Shields and Palmer. Angels need to do something with the bullpin. Oh and Keep Rodney as the closer, only use Fuentes for matchups please Save Rodney.
